The Creative Process
Something I value highly is the communication and trust I share with my clients. When you commission a piece from me I make it my mission to make you feel like you're being listened to and kept involved throughout the entire process. I therefore find having clearly-defined stages for this process starts us both off on the same page.

The process for
Digital Commissions
Step 1: We will chat about what kind of portrait you are looking for including drawing style, colour scheme, estimated time to complete work.

Step 2: You can send me 3 digital, well-lit, non-blurry photos of the subject for me to then choose between.

Step 3: A third of the total fee is paid upfront before I start drawing. (This fee is non-refundable).

Step 4: I will send (low-res/watermarked) updates of the portrait as I go.

Step 5: I will send the finished, low-res, watermarked artwork for your approval.

Step 6: Small edits will be implemented from feedback (large adjustments will need to be voiced during Step 4).

Step 7: After a max of 3 revisions I will send the completed artwork through (again watermarked and low-res).

Step 8: The remainder of the fee is paid.

Step 9: I will send through the final full-resolution digital file for you to enjoy!
Optional add-on: I can also screen-record the drawing process and provide a timelapse set to special song of your choosing for an extra £20. In this way you are able to see how your piece of art came to life!
NB. this will have to be decided upon at Stage 2.

How quickly does it take to complete a portrait?
This heavily depends on my availibility, number of faces in the portrait and whether the artwork is digital or not. Minimum expected time for completion is 5 working days.

What media do you offer for custom, non-digital portraits?
I can create artwork in graphite pencil, coloured pencil, ink and acrylic paints.
Can you combine elements from multiple photos into one portrait?
I am happy to amalgamate several photos into one portrait - I just request that I'm given a selection of photos to choose from per person/pet.
Yes. In my initial conversation with a client I ask that they send me 3 well-lit, non-blurry photos of the subject. Ideally these will be digital photographs or scanned copies of printed photos. This is so that I can choose my favourite of the selection. In the case of Live Wedding Drawing and Live Birthday Drawing I'll work from a photo taken on the day either by me or the hired photographer.
I request that a third of the fee is to be paid before commencement of the drawing, with the rest to be paid on completion. Prices do not include packaging and shipping costs. Payments are to be made via bank transfer.
For Live Drawing portraits £100 deposit is to be made on the day of booking to secure the day. Th rest of the fee is to be paid in the week leading up to the event.
Yes. I will send a low-res, watermarked, digital picture of the portrait for you to approve before the final payment will be requested.
